Near place Gorica pri Slivnici, from direction Šentjur – Podčetrtek lies man-made lake, to which some say kozjansko sea – Slivnica lake. Slivnica lake lies in intact nature, where many lovers of nature go. Eastern part of the lake also represents a bird reserve, which is appropriate for photography, where you can catch more than 125 different kinds of birds. In hot summer nights you can enjoy in a pleasant view of the lake from Ramni beach. Length of the lake is 5 kilometers and achieves width of half kilometer, with dept of 14 meters.

It was made in year 1976 by the damming of Dobrina and Ločnica stream. The barrier was built for needs of technological water for ironworks Štore and as reservoir of flood wave. Eastern part of Slivnica lake, including mouth of streams Dobrina and Ločnica, is defined as hatchery of the fish. In year 1991, it was unofficialy pronounced as ichthyologigal and ornithological reserve, in the range of 40 ha, of water and riparian area. Approximately 119 kinds of birds and 32 spieces of fish, crustaceans, lampreys, frogs and shellfish are inhabiting the lake. It is also possible to find some of the rare species of plants.

Lake is appropriate for fishing, water sports, recreational activity and picnics.
