
Petelinjek is 1552 meters high ridge, which is located in the immediate vicinity of the Austrian border, west to southwest from Korensko sedlo. Most of the ridge is located on the Slovenian side, peak its self is on the border with neighboring Austria. What is indicated by the board in German language and boundary marker with number XXVII 263. The peak of Petelinjek is partly overgrown with forest and lower growth, there are also some broken trees as a small feature of the peak. The view from the top is limited due to tree branches. Slightly lower the view opens to the western part of Julian Alps, Carnian Alps, Zile Alps, Karst Alps and Triple border. In good weather the view extends towards High mountain nature park. The slope of Petelinjek on Austrian side in winter becomes a ski slope.
