Access:
On the highway head towards Unec and continue towards Cerknica. Just before Cerknica, at the intersection, continue straight and not in direction of Slivnica, soon we come into the center of the settlement. Across the river Cerkniščica, and here we must watch carefully, as the road soon turns left, on which we come to the starting point. Soon we notice the mountain markings on the left side of the road, which direct us towards home on Slivnica. Turn left on ascending road, soon we come to the parking lot.

From parking lot, continue across the road on walking path in direction of Slivnica. First, the path slightly ascends through belt of bushes; soon it goes in pine forest and starts to ascend more. Little higher, we pass some forest roads, and then come into mixed forest. Path ends on a little worse forest road, which we follow a few meters. Blazes then direct us to the right through a belt of shrubs, and pass the grazing fence on meadow slopes of Slivnica. At the same time, a view opens towards ridge of Javorniki and Cerknica field with lake Cerknica. After a short belt of scarce pine forest, we step out of the forest. In front of us we can see a home on Slivnica, and we are around 5 minutes’ walk away. We go around mountain lodge, and then blazes direct us into the forest, and up the stairs. Path end on a turning point of forest road to Slivnica. Here we continue on a partly overgrown path, through belt of raspberry on a meadow slope. From here we continue to the top of Slivnica.
