Along the guided tour On the trail of Emona – old Roman city, which starts at Kongresni trg (en. Kongresni square) next to Emona gate, you will get to know a part of history of the city of Ljubljana. Put yourself in times of Romans and live part of our history. We will see the remains of this once mighty Roman city. Your designated Travel-Slovenia tourist guide will be waiting for you on Kongrestni trg, you will recognize him by a special T-shirt with Travel-Slovenia sign in his hands.
If you decide to attend the tour, we suggest to come to the assembly point a little before 11 o’clock. A few minutes after 11 the tour will start, from here you will head on to circular and most interesting and historical tour. You will learn about the life of Romans in Emona, the construction methods and you will see the remains of Emona. More information you will obtain from our guide. Tours will be carried out every Wednesday and Friday at 11 a.m. The price for the tour, which includes all entry fees, is 20€ per person. Assembly point is Kongresni trg (en. Kongresni square).
