The village development tourist Society Škrla from Lipa on Karst also this year invites you to the spring holiday of dandelion – “radičke” with Slovenian word. With this event in Lipa, they mark the beginning of the spring and show honor to dandelion, seemingly humble and ordinary, but extremely useful plant, which once offered the first fresh green sprouts on karst plates.

Nowadays, fresh vegetables from shops can be eaten all year around, but at the same time “wild” food, picked up in the domestic natural environment, due to its higher nutritional value and taste, is gaining its importance. In Lipa on Karst, the spring village holiday, organized on Sunday, March 24th, will be dedicated to dandelion or lip’nsko radički. Also this year, visitors will be able to taste home-made dishes from dandelion – from traditional recipes, such as dandelion salat with eggs, as well as more “creative” one, such as dandelion soups, rolls or even sweets. The tasting will be available in front of the village home from 12.00, so you can make an interesting Karst lunch from dandelion’s snacks.
