Mala gora is a vantage meadow plateau on the slope of Čaven, with approximate altitude of 1050 meters. It is compressed between steep limestone walls. It is known for the flowers, typical only for this area, such as iris, gentian, monkshood and marsh gentian. Therefore it is one of the most interesting botanical points in Slovenia. The view from Mala gora is beautiful, as the view on Vipava valley, Carst and Goriško opens, in fine weather we can also see the Adriatic sea. Due to its low height difference the trip to the plateau is suitable also for families with children. Among most interesting paths is Srednječavenska path (en. Middle-Čaven path), which starts before the tunnels, not far away from village Predmeja.
