
Križevci lake is located in village Križevci, in area of Dol and offers a habitat for numerous birds, water animals and fishes. The latter here attract mostly the fishermen, who want some peaceful fishing and cohabitation with unspoiled nature.
The lake covers approximately 2 hectares, his average depth is 1,5 – 2 meters. Fishes, which live in the lake are: carps, pikes, sheatfishes, Scardola, white bream, Prussian carp and red eye. The biggest so far caught sheatfish was 2 meters long with weight of 46 kilograms.
Križevci
Village Križevci is located within the Goričko Nature Park, on its north-east part in the municipality Gornji Petrovci. The settlement is combined of five hamlets, spread on ridges and three valleys, which in Dol flow into Mala Krka. The name of the village Križevci comes from the chapel of St. Cross. [_Read more_]
