In village Križevci, in the shelter of giant chestnut trees, stands evangelistic church, which was erected in year 1785. In year 1885 it was extended for four meters. Next to the church there is the rectory, not far away Križevci cemetery is placed. From here a beautiful view opens on the ridges of Goričko. For a period of time Ivan Berke, Slovenian writer, was the appointed shepherd in this church.

The church is a single-nave building, which has a polygonally finished presbytery and a bell tower with an onion-type roof. It has high and completed windows surrounded with mortar top, the attic wreath is profiled. The church represents the oldest evangelistic church in Prekmurje.

In year 1783, as can be seen from the baptismal register book in Križevci, the believers from surroundings sent an application to obtain a licence to establish their own church municipality to Bratislava Royal Office. In response that they got, the municipality Križevci and its surrounding villages of Slovenian landscape was allowed to establish a church municipality, if they have a sufficient number of believers in Augsburg religion, which are, by the regulations capable to support a priest and are capable to erect prayer houses for divine services.
