In village Križevci 700 years old regular Chestnut tree is located, we can find it on Tetajni slope, around 800 meters away from the center of the village. At the parking lot across the evangelistic church we head right toward a gravelled path, which takes us through the forest to Tetajni slope. The tree is enormous and belongs among the thickest trees in Pomurje. Its chest volume is 940 centimetres and diameter reaches 299 centimetres. The giant is 18 meters tall and it is believed that it contains 50 cubic meters of wood. According to the people’s stories, the giant tree was already mentioned in old Austrian military maps.
