AIP (si.SKS) or longer Independent Agricultural party (si. Samostojna kmetijska stranka) was formed on June 1st 1919, it was liberal peasant party. It was formed with support of Yugoslavian democratic party. The members of the party were mostly rustic craftsmen, bigger farmers, merchants, landowners and innkeepers. All members were, already before establishment of the party, liberally-oriented and were voting for liberal candidates. Later, also a part of intellectuals and agricultural professionals joined the party. Most important politician of the party was Ivan Pucelj. AIP or SKS and Slovenian Republic party of peasants and workers joined into Alliance of Slovenian agricultural people, which occurred in year 1925. A year later, 1926, the party also merged into political Slovenian agricultural party.
