Mountaineering Society Podbrdo, Section Grahovo – Koritnica and GRS Tolmin Station (at their 70th anniversary) invites you to the presentation of the book by Jože Andlovic.

When you go to a journey – The Himalayan doctor’s journal (Kangbachen 1965). The book slide-show will be presented by the editor Žarko Rovšček with guests. Kindly invited!

Ten years ago, Jože Andlovic’s debut was published in the publishing house of GRS Tolmin station and MS Tolmin, which he dedicated to Tolmin’s mountain rescuers. Because of the great interest of the readers, soon reprint was published. At that time, journalist Marjan Raztresen in his assessment, published in the Literary letters of newspaper Delo, wrote: “Perhaps after a readable 262 page book Through the gorge of Second World War, written by Jože Andlovic, another book about how the doctor without white gown steered through the gorges of the world’s mountain chains.” The hope he expressed at that time had come true.

The title of the book, When you go to journey, with verses of old Slovenian folk song summarizes the feeling of those, who stayed at home at the departure of boys and men to the alpine expedition, full of expectations and good wishes for their safe return.
