Slovenia on September 15th celebrates Day of return of Primorska to mother country, which was introduced by the amendment of the Law about holiday and work free days, which was National assembly accepted in autumn 2005. The holiday is not work free day and due to austerity measures the main state celebrations is organised every five years. Otherwise, it is commemorated by local municipalities and cultural organizations.
The holiday Day of return of Primorska to mother country commemorates September 15th 1947, when Paris peace treaty with Italy was enforced, with that to that time Yugoslavia and at the same time to Slovenia, huge part of Primorska was assigned.
